In a world where music serves as the bridge between emotions,
identity, and environment, the artist Diego Noguera invites us on a
deeply personal and evocative sonic journey through Diegos latest EP,
titled "I HAD A NAME."
This musical project stands as an authentic testament to the duality
of the human experience. Conceived as a unique masterpiece,
"I HAD A NAME" is founded upon a collection of sounds gathered
from various European theatres, homes, countries, and landscapes
during Noguera's last year in Santiago and initial year in
Berlin.
Through this work, the artist takes us on an auditory voyage that
encapsulates the inherent anxiety of the unknown and the serene
companionship of those close to us, whose voices intertwine in
various ways within the musical fabric of the album. The music of
the album is constructed from these sounds, which represent for
Diego what is most akin to a home. It is an auditory experience that
transcends geographical and cultural boundaries, exploring the
nuances and emotions found within the spaces between these
collected sounds. The album captures the essence of life itself, from
the excitement of exploring new horizons to the nostalgia for places
once called home.
Diego weaves a sonic narrative inviting listeners to explore their own
emotions and experiences through the music. In Diego's words, In
this record, I've tried to capture the duality of life: the tension
between the anxiety of the unknown and the comfort of the company
of loved ones. These sounds are like memories, immortal and
ethereal. They are the voice of the familiar and the compass to the
new.
